The County is saddened to hear that Jack Elson (Rugby Railway BC) passed away aged 97.
The following was sent by club secretary Allan Hockin, our thoughts go out to Jack's friends and family at this most difficult time.
"Jack was 97 (and half, which, ever thorough as he was, was very important to him) and first played for the Bowls Club in 1964. For as far back as I can remember he has overseen the running of the bowls section either as Chairman, President or latterly Life President.
It is doubly and deeply unfortunate that Jack will not be around for next year’s Centenary celebrations and that this should happen during this wretched pandemic time and that he should be a victim of it."
