Willie Taylor

The Executive have been informed that Willie Taylor (Avenue Coventry) has passed away peacefully at home aged 95. Willie was a successful bowler, playing for the County in the Middleton Cup and reaching the National Championships on three occasions. For his club he was a willing worker, taking on the roles of club captain, match secretary and green keeper during his time there. Willie was well known throughout Warwickshire and beyond, he will be remembered as a character. Thanks go to Steve Taylor for assistance with information.
His funeral will be at Canley Crematorium on Friday 12th April at 3pm.
Bowls England Competition Proposal Results

On Saturday 17th February the County held a Special General Meeting to decide how their delegate should vote in regards of the competition proposals at the upcoming Bowls England AGM. The meeting also accepted a rule change to amend the closing date for County competitions to 31st December.
Amended to add the results from the Bowls England AGM on 24th January. The County Secretary would like to thank clubs that attended the SGM for their input.
